Merchant Accounts
A Merchant Account is a relationship between a business and a bank that enables the business to accept credit card payments from their customers. The relationship allows the business owner to accept bankcards such as Visa or MasterCard. After a certain period of time, the merchant bank deposits funds collected over a certain period of time into an account. Merchant Accounts cost a small fee for allowing the business to accept and process credit card information.
